Richard Ntomba Ekunde,born 4 August 1982 , is a Congolese football player whose parent club is Kinshasa City.
He was recruited in 2002 by Djurgårdens IF from Kinshasa City to Sweden, but the former Swedish champions in 2003 loaned him out to the farms Club Åtvidabergs FF. In the BBL , he did well, and was selected in the Congo's A-squad . He played two games with the A squad, one of South Africa and an Olympic qualifier against Ivory Coast in December 2003. In the second match landed Ekunde in the 65th minute errors for an elevation duel, and damaged cruciate ligament and meniscus in one the knee. [2] He stayed away from football for eight months and did not play a single match in 2004. In 2005 it was 28 games for Åtvidaberg, and before the 2006 season, said the premier league newcomer GAIS contract with Ekunde.
Congolese were described in 2005 by Åtvidabergs then coach Steve Creutz as "technical and break-proof [...] tough and strong but perhaps not as fit as is". He formed 2006-2007 backpar together with Mattias Östberg in GAIS, and was appointed in 2007 to " This year's mackerel "and" Player of the Year in GAIS ". In the late summer of that year, the Danish big club FC Copenhagen a bid for Ekunde, but the clubs did not agree and he remained in the GAIS. [4] At the end of the 2007 season and at the beginning of the 2008 season was Ekunde injured, but came back to the second part of the 2008 edition of the Championship.
